Happy 13 Months Elijah Dean!

Dear Elijah Dean,

wow! you are 13 months old. it's so hard to believe considering it took so long for you to come into our lives. You are so much fun and each day is more exciting than the last. You laugh all the time and love to give hugs when you are happy. I can ask for a hug or tell you to hug your stuffed animals and you do it! You love to bite when you are happy too. the other day i was laying on the floor and you tackled me and bit down on me and boy did it hurt! i know that you are not being mean when you do that, so it's ok... you used to bite and hit when you got mad but you have been doing that less and less! i am so proud of you!

now you can stand for a while on your own when we stand you up. and you have taken at the most 5 steps! you still love to crawl and we are fine with that! your favorite time to walk is when i get you ready for your bath! you love to walk naked to the bath tub! it's so cute!

you love cups of all sizes! you play with a bunch of them in the kitchen cabinets and sometimes you take your toys and hide them in the cups and put them back in the cabinets for later. you have been trying to say different words and sometimes it really sounds like you are. especially when you repeat it. you can say Doggy, mama, daddy, mimi, done, and it sounds like you can say Josh, Jo Jo and Nina... but i am not sure. LOL... you absolutely love company!!! you show them your toys and love to play with whomever will give you the time! you love playing with bigger kids because they share toys with you and can run around chasing you. you love attention. for the first time the other day you got jealous of Addyson because i was holding her and not you. that was so cute! Doggy is your buddy and when you wake up from a nap or in the morning and i walk in you sit down in bed and grab him so that i take him with you when i get you out of bed. anytime you see him you light up and put your thumb in your mouth. it's sooooo stinkin cute!

you absolutely love your daddy!!! he is so fun and definately your buddy! he works a lot and that's sad for you but when he is home to play with you, you are in heaven. you dont let him out of your sight and if he does leave the room you cry. so sad...

we have the best time with you sweetie!!!! you are such a joy to us! you talk so much and love to laugh... i love the sound of your laugh. you love to stick your finger in our ears and nose... lol. it's so funny. you love to pull on your hair or feel your belly when i take your shirt off. you love any and all animals! preferably our dog and your aunt's kitty cats! it's so cute. you chase the cats and they run from you and you laugh! ha...

baby boy we love you so much!!! each month is more fun than the last, but it makes me sad too cuz you are growing up too fast!!! you will always be my little boy though... i love you angel!!!!

Just some fun pics

Elijah is so much fun!!! he is so cute and loves to play and laugh most of the day. he loves to talk on the phone, whether it's a toy phone or just his hand as you can see in one of the pictures. he is so cute standing with daddy too. he is such a sweetheart and i love him so much! hope you enjoy these pics. oh and the shoes he is wearing are the first pair i have been able to get on his feet! he loves them. and he loves windows, especially when he sees our dog outside, he has to stand there and talk to her the whole time... he even calls for her in his own language. so sweet!

So on Jan 30th we decided to have Kristina come over and test out her hair cutting skills on Elijah. She did a great job and he is so cute!!! he loves his Aunt Nina so much! She didnt cut it very short because i wanted him to look like a baby a little while longer. There is plenty of time for really short hair when he is older! :)
