aw you guys are so sweet! i appreciate all the compliments. i cant wait to see everyone tomorrow and for those that cant come... you will be there in spirit! :) i appreciate you all!

on a funny note...one of the tickers says "if you are having twins they are having no trouble finding each other now that their eyes are open". hmmmm would twins have trouble to begin with? since they are squeezed tightly into one belly for nine months??? LOL i would think they would bump into each other and know each other pretty well by now! that just made me laugh this morning when i read it.

The Third Trimester! 12 weeks left!

How Elijah is growing:By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Wow, who would have thought? I am in the third and final trimester! Praise the Lord!

I had Dennis take this pic on my lunch break today and boy was it bright out! i fought hard not to squint too much! LOL

but boy it was a gorgeous day so he took the pic behind my store. i feel huge and boy i look pretty big in this pic. Well to me i look and feel big. but i really am enjoying it.

I went to see my friend and her baby girl the other day and she is five weeks old. gosh it made me want to see Elijah so badly at that moment. i cant wait to hold him and take care of him outside my belly but for now.. i will just enjoy this time. :)

10 Facts About Me (i was tagged by Jenny)

1. I do not like to be outside at all if it is humid or raining. I hate bad weather unless i am home and dont have to go anywhere
2. I truly believe i have a bladder anxiety. I have to sit on the end of an aisle or close to the end especially at movies. if i feel as if i cant get out quick then that creates an issue with me. I have to know that places have restrooms and for the most part i will use one in every store or place i am at. if i am traveling with others it is even worse.
3. When i am driving i am constantly talking (or yelling) to the terrible drivers that cut me off or do stupid stuff on the road.
4. Lately i have loved to be neat and organized at home. everything has a place... our room and closet are not so neat but for the most part, messes are taken care of as soon as possible.
5. I hate to let people down, and i hate to be wrong. i am very hard on myself and if i have messed something up i am the last to forgive myself.
6. if i am off i want to know what i am doing for the entire day and i dont like last minute plans.
7. I love sales, and surf the net looking for the best deal on most things i buy. Amazon is my fav website! and i will NOT pay for shipping unless it is a MUST. I want to know that it can be returned for my full money back should it not be the right item or i do not like it. i will return it to a store and never return it back online because then i have to pay for shipping on the return.
8. When i cook i have to wash dishes as i go and i have to wipe off the counters periodically as i am cooking. I have to put away each ingredient once i am done with it, that way when i am done cooking all i have to clean is the dishes that we have used to eat on.
9. I can not let the laundry build up to where i have to do 4 or 5 loads one day a week. i will do one load a day or every other day just to keep on top of it. I have to fold it immediately as it comes out of the dryer and put them away... I refuse to iron so things must come out quick and be hung up so they arent wrinkled.
10. I can not keep my mouth shut when i am watching movies and tv shows... i dont like being shut off from the world and i cant keep from talking to the tv... telling actors or actresses what to do or asking why they did something they shouldnt have... Dennis is constantly reminding me that they cant hear me!

Elijah---27 weeks...

How E is growing this week: This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

I can not believe that our anniversary is 2 months and a week away and when that is here we will have about three weeks till our little guy joins us in this big world. i really cant believe it! this is so awesome... i can tell he is growing... and getting a lot stronger. i have a feeling he is going to be a really long baby just because of his legs. i am hoping and praying he is no more than 8 lbs and no longer than 21 or 22 inches long... :) we will see! it's a lot of fun to guess.

i have another dumb cold! i cant believe it! it has been quite a few years since i have had more than one cold a year... i am fighting this one but it's all in my head... makes me groggy and feeling yucky. oh well. i will continue to fight it until it's death! :)

not much else is going on. 10 more days until my shower! my mom and sister are throwing it for me and i am so thankful and so excited! thank you both! :)

the weekend

this weekend was a lot of fun!
i got to come down to my parents on friday and i left sunday morning... first on my way i stopped by my fav hair salon and got my hair highlighted... i got dark brown, blonde and my fav-red! i love it! she did such a great job! as always... so now it's done for my showers and the holidays. i am so happy.
after that i went to my parents and visited and then dustin and priscilla and i took Josh to his basketball practice. that was fun... getting to sit and visit and watch him play. Josh is growing up so fast and is such a great player... so nice to every one on the team and so respectful to his coach... then we went home and hung out and then my sis had us over to visit at her place for a little while... well somewhere in all of that time i forgot to eat dinner! ha... i am never as hungry when i go out of town as i am when i am at home or work... so her and i took orders from everyone and ran to Jack in the Crack. :)
when we got back we just hung out for a little while and then everyone went home and josh and i stayed the night there. the next morning mom and i took josh to his next basketball practice... that was nice-getting to sit and talk to my mom for two hours... i love talking to her! i know she is excited about Elijah and she is going to be such a great help to me for advice when i have him.

oh one more thing. Friday night was hilarious to me! at my mom's michelle and my mom sat beside me and both fought over who would feel Elijah move first. my sister won and she rubbed it in my mom's face! hahah it was so funny... but they both felt him and then they got tired of it. LOL he wasnt moving as much as he normally does... then later on i called my mom over and she felt him move a lot... they both enjoyed it so much. michelle kept pushing on my belly to feel body parts. it was funny. at one point she pushed his leg or foot and he pushed his head in my bladder and that was not fun!
saturday after practice we went to fuddruckers! finally! i got to go to one of my favorite places! then we went to walmart to finish up some shopping for my brother's surprise b'day party... while we were there i realized how awkward it was holding Addyson... ha... i couldnt reach very well with my left arm to support her while holding her on my right hip! it was funny. so i put her in the cart and pushed it and then she would poke my belly. she kept poking it and laughing hard... and then she would reach out and hug my waist (what is left of it LOL) and lean back and hug me again over and over... she is such a sweet little angel. very stubborn and energetic but still a very sweet little girl.
her smile is so contagious and it makes me laugh when she does smile. and then we would tell her to give someone "the look" and she would! it was hilarious! she goes from being happy to looking angry back to laughing and it's awesome! she even scared a little boy that our family knows. hahaah he didnt know what to think of it!
well the party went well. everyone had a great time and we all ate too much. Ryan's girlfriend, Elsa and Michelle threw it for him and they did a great job... Elsa did a scavenger hunt for him and that was funny. all the clues were hilarious! especially the first one that Dustin my brother made up... goodness, the stuff they come up with!
i enjoyed hanging out with everyone so much...my favorite part was all the laughter... we laughed and laughed at so many things... that's one thing i love about my family. laughter is one of our main ingredients and i dont know what i would do without it!
i cant wait for my shower in 12 days! it's going to be great to see everyone and visit with friends that i havent seen in forever! i am so thankful that i have such a great family and such wonderful friends!
i didnt get much sleep this weekend cuz of staying up late and getting up early but i will catch up sometime! it was well worth it.and the weather was gorgeous! i stayed the night at my parents sat night and left sun morning... and then when i got home dennis woke up and we watched the cowboys and ordered pizza and had a nice afternoon together... the game was sad.. but it was still fun to watch it with him.
oh and my mom gave us four outfits for Elijah! they are soooooooooooooo adorable. i cant wait to see him in them but they arent newborn size so i guess i can wait a little while longer! i dont want him to grow up too fast, but i am very excited to see what kind of child he turns out to be... seeing addyson and how fun and cute she is makes me want to peak into the future and see what our little guy will be like. but for now i can wait!

---one more fun thing was how everyone loved seeing my belly! it has grown a lot since i have seen everyone and they just kept rubbing it... and telling me how good i looked. they were so sweet! i loved saying "i am six months along, just three to go!) and some didnt believe it... so i would stand up and show them my belly. sitting down i just look fat. hahaah. it's funny! so i would stand up and then they would see that i was pregnant.

Ah... My little man...26 weeks

How E Man is growing:The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm he "may" be able to hear my voice or his daddy's??? hmmmmm he has been able to hear us for weeks! the way babies are formed is truly a miracle and not all miracles can be fully explained so i can understand them being a little off at times! :)

right now as we speak he is jamming his feet into my ribs on my right side. i feel as if i have bruises inside on my right side... he loves it there... rarely does he move over to the other side... since he is still head down (from what i can feel and guess) his legs swing over to either side but the right side is his favorite... hmmmmmmmmm could it be cuz my appendix was removed years ago and that gives his long legs more room??? i dont know...

ah my little boy. i love him so much. i love how he can be so still and i can talk to him and he moves almost instantly. i told my mom that when i come down this weekend i know for sure she will feel him move. his favorite time of the day is mornings and late afternoons and evenings... it takes him a few minutes to calm down once i go to bed but then he is out. our alarm wakes him up so even when i snooze it he still keeps me awake. i am going to have to keep that alarm as quiet or as far away from him when he is sleeping in our room once he is born! ha we dont need it waking him up every morning that's for sure!

i am starting to feel like a huge whale... i really do. i cant walk as fast, i cant move as fast and i get tired so much faster now... i know i will only get bigger, and walk even slower, and move even slower and well, want to sleep much more... but i will make it! it's just so different. it's a wonderful experience and i am so thankful to have had such a great pregnancy so far. i feel so blessed...

i am getting a lot of my Christmas shopping done now so that i can spend time decorating and wrapping and baking in november. i just cant wait for the weather to get cooler! everyone always told me "wow you get to be pregnant during the winter time" LOL when???? hahaah. maybe for 4-8 weeks of it but when will it start????? we are supposed to be getting a cool front in the next few days so that will help me a lot. all i do is sweat. my arms and legs can be cold but i still sweat... it's crazy!!!

i will try to get some good pictures this weekend and post them next week. i cant wait to see my family!!!! :)

99 days and counting

wow! it seems like it was just yesterday that i found out we were going to have a baby! and now we have less than 100 days left! i couldnt wait for it to get past the 100 mark! this is so cool!

i know that starting with this weekend, time is going to fly by! i cant wait to see my family in just a few days. i miss everyone so much!
i got to see my mom and dad and Wade for a little bit yesterday on their way home. it was so nice! with having a big family it's such fun but it's nice to just have a little time with one sibling or alone with my parents... so it was great. my mom got to see my belly in person for the first time in 7 weeks and she was amazed! LOL just you wait mom! it will only get bigger! hahaahaha...
i was sad to see them go but i will see them and everyone else this friday! whooohooo!!! as my brothers Dustin and Josh like to say "let the party begin!" LOL

i text my brother, Dustin, last night and told him i was getting bigger and he said "ya i have seen some pictures, maybe you should stop eating" hahahaah... i told him "hmmmmmmm i might just do that!" LOL... funny funny man...

My baby at 25 weeks

How E Man is growing: Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

awwww my little guy weighs as much as a rutabaga... LOL... how cute! i am so excited... 15 weeks left or a little longer if he decides to wait on making his appearance but still i cant believe that just 15 weeks left and i will be at the end of my pregnancy... this has been a great experience so far for me and i do love it! i am going to go through withdrawals i am sure once he is out... i love feeling him wake up with me and move around and i love how he moves at the sound of my voice. every evening when i am relaxing on the couch he just moves soooooooo much and does flips of all sorts. it's so funny and sometimes can hurt a little too! but it's so worth it! but at the same time i cant wait to hold him and kiss him and just love him so much it hurts! i am so thankful for this precious gift...Elijah we love you so much already sweetie...

Here are some pics of me and my baby belly...Dennis' hand makes my belly look small but boy it isnt! i dont feel enormous yet but i am getting bigger huh? it's pretty cool though. i like people knowing i am pregnant! it's fun! Elijah LOVES my right side up really high...he is almost to my ribs, and i wouldnt be surprised if he reaches them within a week or so. it's crazy how long he is. i know he doesnt weight much but boy he is long!
i am doing really well. i have so much going on this month and the next few months before he is born so i am just taking one week at a time. i love this time of year. i am getting so excited about seeing my family and friends at the shower. it's going to be so great! i miss everyone so much! thank you all for your prayers and your support. i have to say this is a lot more fun than i could ever imagine!
oh and Dennis just loves my belly growing. ha... he just looks at it all the time. the georgia t-shirt i am wearing is really the only t-shirt i can wear. it was kinda big to start with and the other day i was looking for something to wear... ha i found it hanging up and knew i could wear it now! i put on one of dennis' shirts on sunday and it was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy to big... so i dont know if i will be wearing those any time soon. but i will put them to good use toward the end i am sure.

24 week belly pic! 16 weeks to go! :)

oh my i have gotten bigger! LOL... my belly is definately filling out now... it's so much more fun being able to look pregnant instead of just feeling pregnant... of course my belly feels heavy at times but other times i dont even think about it. it's crazy how my uterus is the size of a soccer ball! that is freaky!!!!

this morning Elijah and I were not ready to wake up that's for sure... ha when my alarm went off and i talked to dennis for a minute he didnt move at all... usually he starts kicking me as soon as he hears my voice... so i just laid there for a minute and talked to him and sure enough he started stirring and hasnt stopped moving since then! i am amazed at how high up on me i can feel him... i am sure that pretty soon he will find my ribs and that will be lots of fun!
not much has changed for me this week. just size... i am so glad it has been cooling off, but of course instead of wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt i wear burmuda shorts and a short sleeve shirt to work... ha i get hot so fast and the cool mornings dont bother me much at all. it's kinda nice not to shiver when i go to my car and drive to work! i used to get cold so easily but now i dont really remember what that is like! it's been so long since it's been cool out...
i am so excited that i have 16 weeks left. it's so crazy!!! and i cant wait to see my family and friends when i have my showers... i miss everyone and cant wait to see friends that i havent seen in so long! this is my absolute favorite time of the year!!! and i am so thankful i get to spend it pregnant with my little precious boy and with my wonderful husband... Dennis and i have known each other for ten years this month! it seems so long but really it has gone by so fast!!! that's another plus to this time of year! it brings back so many great memories! :)

24 weeks--Wow our little guy is growing so fast!

How Elijah's growing:He is growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. In the past few weeks, the top of your uterus has risen above your belly button and is now about the size of a soccer ball.
