17 weeks! :)

Your pregnancy: 17 weeks
How your baby's growing:Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.


ok so I am 17 weeks now and just 13 days until THE day! i am so excited... my husband tried to talk the doctor into doing it yesterday! LOL but she just smiled and shook her head... it was funny.
i have to say I have an amazing doctor and i trust her so much. i love going to see her because she is so kind and sweet and she listens to everything you have to say. she is very busy but never seems to rush you...
i am loving feeling this baby move and boy does this baby move. she was surprised at how active our baby is. she was joking and said "you know what they say about an active baby-it's a boy" LOL then we all laughed. i love how she can joke about "myths" and "wive's tales".
anyways. she was very sweet and saw that i had gained about 21 lbs and asked "where did you put it all?" HOW AWESOME IS THAT??? i told her welllllll my belly is getting thicker... and she said yes that has to be it because you look great... she said for me to watch my weight though just so that i am not too uncomfortable later on and to try to keep it at 1 lb a week... that way i stay around 40 lbs. i told her i would try. and she told me not to worry if i am still kinda tired and dont work out as much... once the fall comes she said i will have more energy and get to take walks since it will be cooler out... so i am not worried and i am going to eat a little better and walk more. i have a lot to do at home so eventually when i get more energy i will get to work...
my husband is getting so excited. he is just so happy that this baby is growing and doing so well. we are both so ready for this...
