How Elijah's growing:At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.
Wow 22 weeks. i am feeling the weight of my belly so much more now. and my back has been hurting a lot more and a lot faster if i do too much. it's ok though! i am still enjoying being pregnant... my little guy moves so much and he does so crazy stuff in side my belly, that's for sure!
i havent been eating all that well the past week so i am nervous about my dr. appointment that i have for next week... i think i will try to do better this week and just see how it goes! it stinks... for the first day in our entire marriage i am not wearing my wedding ring :( and it makes me sad... i had a hard time taking it off but just to be safe i am going to keep it off until after Elijah comes. i am wearing it around my neck but i need to get it sautered together soon... :( my hands feel empty!
it's funny the new pic doesnt look too much different from my last but this week everyone has said i definately look pregnant... i had wanted my hubby to take a pic for me but we didnt have a chance to today and i wanted to get my post up before i got off of work.
so we have the bed and the bedding! the bedding came in today. it's gorgeous! and so soft... and we are going to go get him a mattress today and then i am going to wash the clothes we have gotten him so far... i want to get little infant hangers and hang them up too! i have to finish cleaning out the guest room closet so that we can put his bed up once the room is cleared... we are so excited! it's going to look so cute! and i am also getting some of our Christmas shopping done early. so that helps. i have a lot to do in such a short time...
i am so thankful for this cool front that came through... i know it's working wonders for those that are out of power from hurrican Ike's destruction... i am praying for you guys to get your power back and for everything to go smoothly with the repairs of your homes... thankfully my family was safe and the worst thing that happened was trees falling all over their pool, fence, and storage shed... everyone of them were protected and now they are just waiting on the electricity to come back on...
we have had my sister in laws with us and it's been nice. it was a crazy weekend with everyone but my one sis in law left with her three kids and it has calmed down a little. it was still fun being with everyone. i love my nieces and nephew so much. they are growing up and so much fun to talk to and hang out with...
i love hanging out with my sis in laws too... we have been running errands and watching our favorite shows in the evening and just eating and eating more LOL... my sis in law Joni has made brownies twice now! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... and i love having them come up to see me at work... we all four get to go to lunch together too which is very nice! i will miss them when they go back home... :(
we had a joke going cuz my nephew Braeden (he is 4 and a half) didnt understand that i had a baby in my belly. so he kept saying "no uncle Dennis has baby in belly"... and we played on that... i loved it... i would say "hey Braeden, go rub Dennis' baby in belly" LOL... everyone would laugh and laugh and Braeden would laugh hysterically as he rubbed Dennis' belly! it was so fun!
i just love those kids so much... it was fun to talk to them and play with them while thinking "hey one day i am going to have a child this age and it's going to be great!"
i cant wait to see Elijah grow up and i pray that he grows into a man of God... i owe Jesus so much and i will do my best to show Elijah that no matter what-Jesus is THE way and that his duty in life is to serve Him.
