a wonderful weekend!

this past weekend was so much fun! my mom came up saturday morning to see us and to go to the shower that my friends threw for me...her and i got to talk for a while as we watched Dennis put E's new dresser, that his dad and stepmom sent us, together. it's so gorgeous and Dennis did such a great job! we took my mom to lunch and then all of us met Wade and Priscilla at my store to pick up some chairs for the shower. after that we went back home and Dennis finished putting together all the drawers for the dresser and we all just visited. once my friends Lacey and Brooke got to our place we started getting things ready for the shower and started decorating. i had so many friends show up and it was so much fun getting to see a few that i dont see often.
they gave us such nice gifts too! my mom made us another blanket and my friend Julie got us two blankets, one with Elijah's initials and then the other with his whole name on it. they are gorgeous! our little guy has so many clothes it's unreal! they gave me all the necessities and then some... with a gift card that some of them went in on we were able to get our changing table... and then on sunday we went and got his car seat and bathtub!
once the shower was over we all cleaned up and unloaded the cars at our place and my friends all went home...mom and i went through all the new nice things that we got and i showed Dennis since he wasnt there to see them... i was so exhausted but it was a great day! we stayed up so late just hanging out but boy it felt so good to get to bed! the next morning we got up and hung out until my mom and my brother and his gf had to leave... then i laid down and took a nap on our comfy couch! the weather this past weekend was amazing! so gorgeous and so cool out! an almost 7 month prego woman's dream come true! :)
i am so thankful for everything my family and friends did and i am so glad they got to come see me! it was so great having my mom sort of to myself... i miss her so much! but we had a good time catching up and she always gives me such great advice... i know i will need her and dennis for sure when it comes time to have my little Elijah... if i know my mom she will definately drop everything and head up here when it's time!
that was my weekend... very very enjoyable and i wish we could do it again! two more weeks and it's thanksgiving and i will see my fam again! ya!
