This past weekend

This past weekend was a good one... dennis and i got to take our last and final trip before Baby E is born down to see our families... we went to his mom's friday night and hung out all day saturday with her and his sisters. it was so great to see them.
his oldest sister was in a wreck that night but thank goodness she is alive and healthy. her car on the other hand, not so much... so we visited with them and ate yummy food that his mom cooked for us... and we discussed what his mom and i are going to cook for Christmas Eve and Day... we both had so many ideas! i am so glad they are coming up Christmas Eve to spend it with us. that will be awesome! just one more week!
then saturday evening we went to my parents and we did our little Christmas with them. since i wont see them until it's time to have Elijah we wanted to open presents together. it was so nice. my dad and brothers built a gorgeous gazebo and they put a fake christmas tree up with lights in it and so we took the presents out there and opened them together. everyone was so sweet and we all got something we wanted/needed. and my mom made cinnabons! she does the best job and they were so good... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
sunday we went to church with them and it was so nice to see everyone at church... people that have known me since i was 7 years old came up to me and were so excited about our little guy coming soon! they were so sweet... it was great seeing them and talking to them. no one could believe i was almost 8 months pregnant... LOL, well it's my first so i am wondering what i will look like with my second???? LOL
we hung out that afternoon and had lunch with my family and visited some more... then dennis and i headed home... it was so nice to get home. the ride in the truck the whole weekend was absolutely miserable and so painful for me... i was practically in tears at one point... my back was killing me no matter how i positioned myself. it was awful... so no more car rides for more than ten minutes for me during the rest of this pregnancy! :)
i am so glad we got to see everyone! i cant wait and cant believe that the next time i see my family i will be a momma! finally! it's so great to be able to say that... i kept saying "wow the next time we come down we will have our little guy with us" and everyone cant wait! i keep dreaming of him and seeing him and i just cant wait... i cant wait to see his sweet face and kiss his sweet cheeks and tell him how much i have prayed and longed for him in my life... it doesnt seem like Dennis and I could be any happier at this point, but i have a feeling that when he is born and we both look at his face our hearts are going to burst with more happiness and joy than we could ever imagine... Thank you Lord and thank you everyone for your prayers. i know i say it a lot. but i just have no other way of telling you how happy i am for this day to come... i cant imagine my life without this little guy... and i know that Dennis feels the same way... :) He is definately a proud daddy already!
