ok so this little boy is soooooo awesome! he is a lot of work but it is all worth it at the end of the day (um well my day doesnt end so that doesnt really make sense at all LOL). he has had his good and bad days. yesterday was rough on both of us. but i have been giving him gas drops since yesterday off and on and it has really helped. he was so fussy yesterday and wanted me to hold and feed him all day. i was exhausted. but today he is my happy baby boy again. so precious. he slept 11:30 to 2:30am and then 3:45 to 8am and then 10 to 12pm. he played in his bassinet 9-10 am and fell asleep on his own. and so then i took a nap when he did. it felt great. and when he wakes up it takes him almost an hour to wake up in his bed so i go back to sleep to wait for him to totally wake up. then i feed and change him and he is back to sleep or his happy self. i love it. i ran to the bank and to subway today and he just enjoyed the car ride. he loves being in the truck, he never makes a sound anytime we go anywhere. either he falls asleep or he just lays there looking around. i was talking to him while i was at the drive thru at subway and he was trying to find me and almost looked back at me. sooooo cute! he has grown up so much in the past 18 days. i cant wait to see how much he weighs tomorrow at his dr. app. i am pretty sure he is up to 9 lbs by now. i tried weighing him here at home and last night it said about nine lbs... he is still skinny but is filling out and looks so darn cute!!! i dont think he will ever be a chunky baby but he will look healthy for sure. he eats so well and we have this whole nursing thing down pretty well i would say. when i talk to him and kiss his face he looks as if he wants to smile but doesnt know how to quite yet... when he sleeps he does smile and boy does he have a gorgeous smile. i cant wait to see that toothless grin one day when it's for real!!! he even has a dimple!!! he looks so much like dennis and i love it!!! i hope he has a great sense of humor when he grows up just like his daddy... then i will have my two favorite guys making me laugh all the time!
i always think of things i want to blog about but when i finally have time i forget most of it and just ramble on and on. i am going to get some more pics for yall soon. i just dont seem to have much time in the day for anything other than taking care of my little man. i know i will get the hang of all this and get more organized. do any of yall have any advice for me? i need to get photos printed and his baby book organized and pull out my old clothes cuz nothing fits right... and clean and find time to cook. i just dont know if i am worrying about all this stuff too soon? or am i really far behind? i know he isnt even three weeks yet and i had a C-section but i just feel as if i am so unorganized and cant get it together! help if you know what i should do or not do or not worry about right now????
thanks for all the sweet comments... i know i dont comment much on yall's blogs right now but i do read your comments and feel so blessed to have so many people care so much and love us so much. thank you again!

Relax Kristen enjoy your baby and don't fret so much about things that don't matter.
You are still healing and you don't need to be in a rush.
Give Elijah a kiss from his great grand mother.
love you.

you will get into a rhythm. Don't worry! Just take your time and do what you can and that's all you can do. Eventually, you will be cooking and cleaning and playing and paying bills and planning parties and tons of other stuff and it will feel like second nature! when they are so small it takes so much time because they eat so frequently. when that gets less frequent it gets a little easier :)
Yup, just relax Kristen. All that stuff around the house can wait. You take care of yourself so you can keep being a wonderful Momma to Elijah. He doesn't care if there are stacks of dishes and clothes to be washed. Just enjoy your time with him and like Lindsay said, you will get into a rhythm eventually. I promise!! It just takes time...but you will get there.
I did way too much in the beginning...because I thought I was superwoman. I'm totally NOT! Looking back, I wish I would have just sat down and enjoyed my new life as a mom instead of trying to get things done that could have waited. I never even took naps during the day. Isn't that bad! I was living on next to now sleep those first 8 weeks and it was miserable. So, my advice to you would be what I said above. JUST RELAX as much as you can!
so...like everyone else said, RELAX. I was the exact same way, worrying about trying to get everything done and then once I sat back and just took things as they came, I was much happier.
Little E needs his momma right now and because your nursing, that can take SO much out of you.
You're doing a great job little momma...just keep taking care of your prince and everything else will come...
These early weeks are precious gems for you and your husband. Enjoy cause they don't last long. Even with my fourth, I did next to nothing the first 2 months. You could find me in the recliner holding the baby almost every moment of the day. There will always be something for you to cook, clean, or fix; but, your baby is only small once...
This time may seem exhausting and never-ending but enjoy it. When you have another baby you will not be able to just sleep whenever you want. You will be chasing Elijah! So take advantage of it now and SLEEP whenever you can. Even though you may physically feel better, a c/s takes about 6 weeks to heal, so take care of yourself and rest as much as you can. Love you!
well since i dont have a kid i dont really know! lol but...this next weekend put me to work!! make a list of things and i would be more than happy to do it. i can print some of the pictures i have on my camera for you and maybe while wade is holding elijah we can work a little bit on the book. we're here to help mama! ok??? I MEAN IT, PUT ME TO WORK! love you!
hey whats up sis? who had time to read ALL of that i know i dont! haha
