Ok so Dennis and i went on vacation with his mom and sisters and step dad. it was so much fun but a lot of driving!!! the pics are kinda mixed up cuz the blog was giving me trouble... the alligatore and eagle you see are from Reptile Gardens. that was fun... except when Dennis tricked me and scared me so bad cuz this girl had a HUGE snake wrapped around her shoulders and i was sooooo close to her... when i saw the snake i screamed and ran... before she could turn around an apologize i was already gone!!!! LOL
the bleak lands that you see are the Badlands... they are in South Dakota too... supposedly they were under water for millions of years... ya i think maybe less than that but i couldnt argue with a sign... LOL
My favorite part was going to Mt. Rushmore. that was amazing!!! we took some great pics but too many to put on here that's for sure!!! it was so awesome seeing how it looked and then we went into the museum and read about it all... it was so dangerous but no one ever fell or died from carving it... it is an amazing piece of art that's for sure!!!
we drove the first day for 12 hours and then the next day for eight... then on the third day we spent the whole day going to Mt. Rushmore, Reptile Gardens and then we went in a cave and were given a tour... that was crazy!!! then i hit my head pretty hard and supposedly it was called "the headache rock" and sure enough i had a headache until i woke up the next morning!!! LOL
then on our way to his grandparents (they leave on the east side of SD) we went to the Badlands... we just drove through and stopped for the view (and to let me use the bathroom)... which by the way was hard for me on this trip being pregnant... i had to stop every hour and would have stopped every half hour if possible!!! it was rough... but on the way back i was able to wait two hours... but that was my max!!! never again!!! no more vacations being pregnant!
we got to his grandparents and had a great time with them. i have to say i love his grandparents!!! they are so sweet and took me in like i was family right away... they are such great people and they took great care of us while we were there!
we went to eat so many times while we were there... i think i gained 10 lbs... seriously!!!! it was great!
we stayed up so late every night talking until we couldnt think... it was hard to leave. the weather was gorgeous and everyone was so great... i hate that they live so far away... but i know that we will see them again one day!!!!
oh and being in the car for a total of 2700 miles together and still we didnt want to kill each other!!! we still love each other and talk every day! LOL that was a fear i am sure for all of us... i am sad the vacation is over and it's back to work time but it's ok... i am looking forward to the rest of this year and the birth of our child... it's going to be great!!!

it was a sign with the pics on it with a hole in it so he could put his head there. LOL

sounds like you had a great vacation! i can't wait to go on my vacation! i do know that tums were kim's best friend when she ws pregnant!

I really wish they lived closer to us too. I could definately spend the entire vacation just at their house next time we go there! I love you babe.
By the way, the baby looks cool in that little floating animated thing you got.
I'm so glad you guys had a nice time! You're so cute Kristen, with your little baby belly! Awww... I miss those days, everything was so much easier! hahahahaa!
