19 weeks-oh and IT'S A BOY!

His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.


it's funny, on the babycenter website it says i may start to feel flutters... hmmmm this little guy has let me feel him for six weeks now. and as I write this he is kicking me pretty hard. yesterday during the ultrasound all of a sudden i had this pain really low and sure enough, the little guy was burying his head in my BLADDER.... geesh! it was painful. so after a few minutes the tech let me use the restroom. hahaha... so now i know what that "feeling" is when i have to run (really I have to walk slow) to the bathroom. the little stinker!!! i just know that soon enough his long skinny legs will be up in my ribs! fun fun for sure! :) but i dont care. i am just so excited about all of this. my little guy... in a way i kinda knew... the other night i was talking to him and called him Elijah. part of me felt guilty but the other part of me was so sure so i didnt care... so when she said boy i was so happy but in a way not surprised... now if it was a girl hahaah i really would have been like "hmmmm i cant really trust my gut instinct, can i?". oh well you have a 50/50 chance of being right so who cares really??? this is just so much fun. now i can look online when i am bored at work for baby stuff... this is so awesome!!! i will get a belly shot at 20 weeks cuz i dont have one for today. thank you everyone for your sweet comments! i cant wait to post his cute little pics up here but for now his pic of talking on the cell phone will have to do! LOL
