How our little guy is growing:By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama)(what the heck is a jicama???) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.
wow! my little guy is almost 4 lbs. and boy am i feeling it. I cant believe how big he is getting! i dont feel too much bigger. and i was happy to go to two of my two week app. and see that i have gained 4 lbs in four weeks! whoohooo! i am doing good so far... my goal is to gain no more than 40 and i am at 34 lbs so far! i told my dr. that i didnt factor in the holidays and she just laughed. she said i was doing great and that i can eat whatever just use portion control. well that wont be hard since my stomach has been shoved up into my diaphram anyway and i get full fast!
i am definately more tired than usual and once i am ready for bed then i am going to bed no matter what and nothing will stop me from hitting that pillow! my little angel is still doing so well at night. i love it! he sleeps all night with me and is awake most of the day... if i am on the phone or talking to friends he moves a lot! and the evenings are really his play time. he goes crazy for several hours when i am relaxing on the couch! it's so funny to see my belly move even out of the corner of my eye... i can have my blanket on and still see him moving all over the place! he still loves my rib cage. when he gets the hiccups i just know when he is getting frustrated because if they last too long then he starts shifting all over the place and shoving his heels into my ribs. i am constantly having to stretch or lean to the side to ease the pain... he is going to be a handful i am sure once he is born!!! just like his daddy!!! always on the move!
this weekend was a great weekend for us! we took our baby moon. and it was so much fun! we left saturday morning and dropped off brownie at his dad's and visited with his dad and stepmom and step brothers and one of their girlfriends for a little while... then we headed up to Dallas and went to the Allen outlet mall and we walked the entire thing!!! it was great! it was cloudy and very cold but i couldnt complain! i wasnt sweating! the first purchase we made was an adorable outfit for Elijah that we both picked out!!!! so stinkin cute! when we realized that we had walked the entire outlet we were in awe! it was so funny. i kept looking around going "how did we do that???" or i would say "uh are you sure we did??" and dennis assured me that we had walked the ENTIRE thing! boy were we tired but it was so fun!
after that he took me to Fuddruckers!!! i love that place! and we dont have one up here yet but i hear rumors that in 2009 one is coming so i am very happy about that! then we went to our hotel and man it was such a nice room! after unloading our things we decided to go walk the galleria for a little while. by then i was pretty sore and was walking VERY slow but it was still nice to get out... then we went and got something to drink at sonic and went back to the hotel completely exhausted...i have to say that i dont think i would have been as excited about the trip if we hadnt had Dennis' wonderful gps tracker!!! oh my gosh. those things are amazing! we didnt get lost ever and we didnt get frustrated trying to find places! i never ever want to travel without that thing ever again!
on sunday he took me to IHOP my other fav place to eat! and then we went home and i got to take a nap. i was so worn out from the weekend but it was so worth it. we needed to get away just the two of us. and we knew that it might be quite a while until we get to do that again once Elijah is born. :)

e-man is getting big! he has nails now and i bet they are tiny...
i'm glad yall got to get away and have a fun weekend! i used to go to the mall for fun every weekend just because i was bored.. now i find myself not wanting to do anything on my days off! ha. but when i went christmas shopping it was nice to get out.. i had forgotten how much i liked it you know.. even just to look around.
well happy turkey day! hope yall have fun.. i don't know about you but i'm ready for some pumpkin pie!

Good job on the long walk! I remember when i was pregnant and I was gaining so much weight, when I would walk at the mall for a day- I swear i would lose a pound just walking. But most of my weight was water weight. And I also ate way too much because I was always so hungry. And if I didn't eat- I would go nuts! hahahaa I dropped like 20 lbs. after the first couple of days of having Morgan. And then with breastfeeding I lost another 20 lbs.
But i am just so so so glad that you have been able to maintain your weight. You look beautiful!
elijah is getting so big!! he's getting so close to coming out too. i don't remember getting kicked in the ribs very much but it sounds painful...he can't do it for much longer girl.
i forgot to ask about your baby moon. i'm so sorry. you know we've had a lot going on in our world. i'm so glad it was fun and you were able to walk that much in one day. way to go!! when i was pregnant, i had to sit in one of those electric carts at walmart because my feet hurt so bad. hopefully you don't get that way! love ya!
