OH WOW! 49 days left! Baby Elijah at 33 weeks!

How Elijah is growing: This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

Wow. If i went back to this time last year and someone told me that in exactly a year i would be 33 weeks pregnant i probably would have laughed... but God is so good... He has given me my heart's desire... this little guy is such an important part of our little family now that we will never be able to give him up! i love this little guy so much. even though he is pushing harder and higher into my rib cage i still love him!!! thank goodness it's not all day... he just does it at certain times of the day and when he does i just have to stretch out and rub my rib cage and he will pull his legs down...

the other day i was playing with him...i was going to bed and felt his little foot way up high and i was gently rubbing it and he would move it slowly and stop and i would do it again and he would move it again... he was playing with me too. he kept moving it back and forth and stopping as if waiting for me to find it again... i was smiling so big!!! I just cant wait to see that precious face!

not much else is going on. i took some vacation days today and tomorrow. it's nice. tomorrow i am going to visit a friend who has a little 18 month old boy... she stays at home with him and i dont see her much since she lives about an hour away. so that will be fun. today i am being a little lazy. gonna clean a little and maybe run some errands. just depends on how i feel of course.

monday and tuesday were good days at work but they definately took a toll on me. i had so much to do but got it all done and now i can breathe easy. of course friday will be a lot of work i am sure but thats ok cuz then i will have two more days off! i know that this week will fly by for sure.

our thanksgiving was nice... i didnt get pics. we all spent so much time in the kitchen that day. my mom and sister did most the cooking and i helped a little. i was just so tired from the drive and so hot. i get hot so easily and so i wasnt able to do as much...well all had fun visiting though and it is always great seeing everyone. i hope to get to go down there to visit his mom and sisters and my family again this month before christmas.
