My sweet sweet baby

i am finally getting a chance to do a post about my sweet son. wow to say that is just amazing to me. he is my life and my world... i could not ask for more. my two guys are so important to me and i feel so blessed that really words are not enough.
i just want to tell yall a little about my precious boy.
he is just great. nursing was rough at first (when is it not?) BUT we have it down pretty well i would say. he eats every three to four hours depending on the time of day. i love it. it's our time and he is so sweet when he is full. once he is done I will lay him on my chest and he just looks up at me with his wide dark eyes. he loves keeping his hands up by his face and his legs tucked up under him and for me to gently rub his forehead and cheeks. he will lay there mesmerized on me for a long time and then gently drift off to sleep. he loves his paci that his Grandma gave him (the one in the pics) and i have a feeling it will be his best friend LOL. he is a late night guy and i dont mind really. i will feed him around 12 to 1 and then he will go to bed and wake up around 3 and want to eat again and sleep for four hours after that feeding. he loves his boppy pillow and so i put it in his bassinet (the top of the play yard we have) and put him on it and he sleeps soooo good on it. during the day i keep the boppy pillow on the couch and prop him up on it and he will lay there awake or asleep and as long as you are in the room with him he will not fuss much. sometimes we have to keep putting his paci back in his mouth but we dont mind. we dont seem to go far from him anyway... most the time once a day after a feeding i give him to dennis or my mom, now that she is here for a few days, and i take a nap. i get about four to five hours of sleep a night and so that's not too bad... now that he is nursing so much better i enjoy getting up with him. he wakes up quietly and doesnt scream so i can bring him out to the living room to feed him and i just talk to him until he is read to eat. he loves you talking to him and gives you his full attention. i am so thankful that he is a cuddly baby. i know he is only eight days old but a lot of times you can already see their personality come thru. he doesnt like to be changed if he is warm and comfortable but sometimes he is really quiet and doesnt mind. he does have an ear piercing scream! it is very hard to listen to when you are exhausted and have a horrible headache BUT it is kinda cute at the same time... he has this whine that is a small yell but it's so cute... everyone that hears it laughs and they cant believe that is his cry. my mom told me i have to record him doing that. i am sure we will get it on camera plenty of times.
he absolutely loves the sound of the sink water running, the shower, vacuum, and blow dryer. he loves riding in the car as long as it is moving. and when i give him a sponge bath he cries but i hold him and let the faucet run over his head and he is immediately quiet and wide eyed. i cant wait to give him real baths. i know he will love it.
i could go on and on but i am sure that i will have plenty of time and things to blog about later. i will get more pics on here soon. time to go take care of my baby boy!

You sound like such a happy momma! You will love looking back at your old posts when he's older and see how much he's changed. Once you get him all figured out, he will change on you...it's so strange because it happens so fast! I love your sweet post about little e. Enjoy your week with your family.

Aw- it sounds like everything is going well! I remember the nursing days. As tired as you are, it doesn't seem to matter whenever you look down and their sweet little face while they nurse! It's such a wonderful time! And your friend is SO right when she says that everything changes quickly!! A friend once told me to enjoy each day as it comes always remebering that this will be the last day that she's one week old or two weeks old. And it's so true!!! I loved the post...keep em coming!!

Yea! I'm so excited to hear about how much he is growing. I love cuddly babies and can't wait to hold him again. I'm really glad that you are getting rest. can't really say that i relate at all lol but it does make me excited for the days when you'll be the one giving me advice!

wow...you guys look so relaxed with the baby! i remember me and andrew being sooooo scared. we didn't know what to do, and Morgan sensed that, which made it worse! I laugh at it now, but man, we were so scared!!

Very cute. Motherhood is so great. You get blessed day after day. Funny. the word verification that I am suppose to type in is restsm. I thought it was funny cause it had the word rest in it and that also is hard to find when you become a mother! Ha ha

Yes, you need to get as much rest as you can. Don't out do yourself. You will have plenty of time to do everything in the next couple weeks. Enjoy the time where you can just ask for help. I know it's hard to do but very good for your body!!! Believe me I out did myself and 2 weeks later I almost passed out in the shower.
Love you!!
