funny stuff

ok so being pregnant does bring out the crazy people... um ya, like when they want to give you advice and you dont even know them!
i had something happen to me a while back and i thought it was funny. i just forgot to blog it.
but basically it went like this
strange lady: when are you due?
me: jan 21st
strange lady: it's a boy isnt it?
me: yes it is (not that shocked since you have a 50/50 shot at this answer)
strange lady: oh i could just tell
me: oh cool
strange lady: ok here are two things to remember, one-dont be scared and two-go all natural
me: (now i am smiling mind you) oh no ma'am, i am a believer in the epidural
strange lady then proceeds to tell me how many women she knows that have had issues and still have issues to this day from epidurals. she also tells me how much more wonderful going natural is and that it is a must. oh and how c-sections are not natural and well um ya... it was interesting... i cant tell you how many horror stories i have heard of pregnancies and deliveries gone wrong! i dont want to hear that! if it's scary tell me some other time when i am not pregnant!
so many people (strange strangers) see my belly and automatically think they need to give me all the advice in the world. it's so funny! i love being pregnant and everyone knowing but at the same time it's just so much information and most the time it's different from one person to the next. everyone is so different and what works for one may not work for the other. i know so many people and each situation is different so i can not ever say "no i will never have a c-section, or no i will never have an epidural, or no that will never happen to me". i have to just go with it and see what my body does and then what happens will happen. :)

seeing what my mom went thru and what my mother in law deals with day in and day out and what my sister and each one of my mommy friends have gone through has shown me... never say never! pray and hope for the best and give it all to God!
i am sure i am not the only one that deals with things like this. i just have to believe that people do really care, and that they mean well. :)

I know exactly what you mean. I hated when people always tried to give me advice. It's one thing for your friends and family to do it but a complete stranger!!! madness!! Have you had anyone rub your belly yet? That really made me uncomfortable!

i think you told me that story.. that's funny though. i would've been like sometimes you have to have a c-section lady! lol

uh..yeah...c-sections aren't always your choice. in my opinion, it's not that bad!! and epidurals are AWESOME (my opinion only)!

what a weird lady! just smile and nod, that's all you can do. i remember those moments all to well and i did have someone rub my belly once at chili's. the waitress!! so strange!!

Weirdos really do come out of the woodwork when pregnancy and kids are part of the picture. Unfortunately, you get to hear just as many fun bits of advice once your sweet boy is born. :) I just try to take it all in stride.

LOL. i just knew that you guys would agree with me! ha. i had to post that to give us all a laugh! but i know that yall have been thru similar things... it's like as soon as you walk in a room all eyes are on your belly and you can just see the wheels turning in their heads... hahaha. gotta love it though!
my friends rub my belly... most the time they ask... but no strangers yet. thank goodness!
yes praise the Lord for epidurals, praise the Lord for women who can go natural and praise the Lord for those that need C-sections. either way we all get our baby in the end right??? and however they come into this world God knows the when, why and how!
um. ya so did you tip the lady or just leave her an actual "tip" saying "lady ask before you rub the belly" ahahah...
