Our Precious Elijah: Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If he's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after he's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)
OH my goodness. oh my word, i dont know what to say!!!! two weeks left. TWO WEEKS LEFT. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... i am soooooooooooooooooo excited and even as i type this i want to jump up and down and thank God all over again!!! this has truly been the greatest joy of my life and i know i can say that for Dennis as well. we loved falling in love and getting married but this is truly the part of our lives that will mean more and stay with us forever... Elijah is our little guy and has been for almost 9 months and will be for his entire life (God willing he has a wonderful LONG healthy life). i dont sleep as well because i am constantly thinking of what it will be like to wake up to him crying because he needs me, or waking up to look at his sweet little face... and knowing that for several years he will need Dennis and I so much... i just cant imagine it but at the same time i can. i see little boys everywhere and picture Elijah and just cant wait for him to run up and hug me one day! and call me mom or mama... ah its just so exciting. this is a dream come true!!!!
on another note, my ticker is very descriptive. thank the good Lord i am not experiencing and havent experienced those things... and if any of you pregnant women have then my heart goes out to you...and i am in no way bragging... i am just so glad it's not happening YET! LOL
i cant wait to see what the dr. says at my Friday app. i will let yall know if it's anything worth blogging about! :) i know everyone is ready and i know that Daddy is definately ready to see his little boy... he tells me every day that today is the day. LOL i know it's not (well i dont feel like it is) and he says ok... well tomorrow then. it's so cute! oh and he has been so great!!! has been helping me with everything and it's been so fun having him home with me. i love it, love it, love it!!! i needed to spend time with him before this little guy came so badly... and God has truly blessed me!
until next time! 14 days and counting!!!! :)

Wow, time has flown by. Only two more weeks. Maybe he will come early. Glad to see you are doing good and not having too rough of a time. I know the last couple of weeks with both pregnancies bothered me so much. I couldn't sleep cause I could not get comfortable. Can't wait to see the pics of the new little blog baby.
I am so excited for you Kristen!
Can't wait to hear what the doctor says tomorrow! Hopefully you've made some more progress.
You are going to be a great mommy Kristen. You have such a big and loving heart and are so great with kids. I know you guys can't wait for him to be here but once he is here, it will fly by so fast that you won't be able catch your breath fast enough.
....sitting here waiting for the BIG phone call...take care!
