a long awaited update

ok, being without internet for two weeks it's not fun. you dont realize how much you depend on it until it's gone. i have missed it so much!
we are loving our new house. we got moved in and for the most part the boxes are unpacked and put away. i am attempting to paint the entire house but that will take a while. the living room is almost done but our next project will be our little boy's room. i want to make it the nursery i have been waiting for! we are going to work on that next week. i am so excited.
we love the neighborhood and our yard and the neighbors seem pretty nice too. we have so many projects we want to do but i know we have to take it one step at a time. it's just so fun and awesome to have a house to call our own. 
Dennis turned 27 too and i got him a bbque pit. it's soooo nice! i knew he had to have one for our back yard and we are getting a patio set so we can enjoy meals together out there. having a back yard is sooooo wonderful. we have missed it so much. i made a nice dinner and we ate with his mom and sisters for his b'day. i made him a german chocolate cake and oh my goodness was it good! he had a good time even though it was very simple, we had such a crazy month so far so simple was good for us! :)
it has been fun with Elijah being in this house too. we have such big spaces for him to play and he loves all of his toys. he doesnt have a whole lot but he never gets tired of them. he has a really soft book that is one of his favorites and when i read it to him he just laughs. it's so funny! i am falling in love with this little boy more and more each day. he is such a joy to be around. he loves to talk and squeal and laugh all the time. he is always saying "da da da da" over and over... it's sooooo cute!!!! 
well i better get some things done. i hope you guys are doing great! oh and Jenny thanks for posting and taking those pics. we had a great time when yall visited and when we got to hang out the other day. it's so good to be close to you again! oh and i think i have decided to get a camera like yours one day.... that thing is awesome! takes such wonderful pictures :)

Happy 6 month birthday baby boy!

Dear Elijah,

I am sorry baby that this post is so late, but i am sure you have already forgiven me. :)

You are such an amazing little boy. We love you more and more as each day passes. You are sitting up all by yourself and you have two bottom teeth! such a big boy. You laugh and play all the time and are generally happy unless you are hungry or i walk out of the room. We have so much fun playing together. You are always rolling all over the place and when i sit you up you love to grab at all your toys and put them in your mouth. sometimes you will chase things down but most the time you are content to sit in one spot with your favorite toys. We started you on cereal on your half birthday (July 11th-your second night in your new house!) and you loved it! you slept from 9pm to 8 am that night and mommy was soooooooo happy.  it was the best night of sleep i have had in forever!!!! but that was short lived. i thought that as long as you had cereal every night before bed you would sleep all night. wellllll that didn't happen and hasn't happened since. oh well. maybe it's coming soon. you love to scream and make high pitched sounds just to hear your own voice. if i walk out of a room you are in you scream and cry like you are being attacked and then within five seconds you are happy again. it's so funny and i know that i don't have to run to you every time you do that. sometimes you can cry yourself back to sleep at night but most the time you are very stubborn and get your way. you have so much fun with daddy and love it when he takes you to a mirror. he always makes you crack up laughing! it's so cute to see you both play together. you are such a ticklish little boy and it's so fun to hear you laugh. you are still a very cuddly baby and love to sit in my lap and suck your thumb. your doggy is your little buddy and he goes everywhere with you. we are having such a great time with you and we know it will only get better as each day passes! we love you sweetheart and cant wait to see what the next month is like with you! hugs and kisses, love, your daddy and mommy. xoxoxoxoxxo

Moving day!!!!

We are loading up the uhaul today!!!!! bad thing is that with all the packing i have been doing i hurt my back! so um ya... i am not happy about that. i am not the kind of person to just sit back and watch everyone work. soooooooooooo i will be resting my back tonight. i know i will find something to do! :) pray we survive this heat LOL

I cant believe my baby boy will be 6 months old this coming Saturday. Just in time to be in his very own house and his very own bedroom! i cant wait to decorate for this little boy. it's gonna be great! he is such a sweet boy and i am saying this as he is crying in his crib because he does not want to go to sleep even though he is exhausted!!! LOL

last night was the most wonderful night ever... he slept from 8:30 pm to 6 am!!!!! then until 8:30 am. i was soooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!! of course now that i am writing about it, um well he will probably not do that again for a while but hey i dont care. i got more hours of sleep in a row than i have in 14  months. with being pregnant and then having him i havent had more than four hours of sleep in a row in forever!!! Thank you Lord!

on another note as of today i have lost ALL of my baby weight! and my kiddo is not even six months old. i am so proud! so now i have 15 lbs to lose before september. i have to buy a dress for my brother Ryan's wedding and then a dress for my brother Wade's wedding which is in January. so i have got to get in shape for those events! they are coming up fast. this is such a busy year and i cant believe that it is already July. my hubby's b'day is next week too! i cant believe i have known him since he was 16 and now he will be 27... gosh where did the years go???? we are leaving wednesday to head down to get ready to close on our house on thursday. my sis and bro in law are coming up to help us load the uhaul. they are sooooo awesome! i cant even begin to thank them enough. i have been working so hard and doing so much and i am so tired! LOL but i am so glad it's almost over. once we get the uhaul loaded and unloaded i will be less stressed out for sure. i just want it all to go as smooth as possible. 

we had a good 4th of July. it was very very very hot out and E and I were miserable. LOL but it was great seeing all of Dennis' family again and getting to show off E to them. He was such a great baby and it was rough on him but we did the best we could. i kept getting in the truck and cooling him off, he fought all of his naps and wanted just me for the most part so that was rough. i wasnt too excited about holding him in 100 degree weather, it just made me even hotter! we survived though! he basically had a melt down that evening so we knew that after the fireworks it was time to head home. poor baby was soooo sweaty. the whole day we let him drink from our water bottle and he loved it, i would keep his head wet and his shirt was soaked from the water that would run out of his mouth! LOL he was so cute and for the most part he was happy. i didnt get any pictures really cuz it was hard enough taking care of him let alone carrying my camera everywhere. others got lots of pics so once i get a hold of them i will post some. i did get one picture of him and I, we went to Dennis' uncle's house to cool off for a little bit so that was nice. 

I better get back to work. just two more nights here and we are gone... no more apartments!!! thank you Lord! i am sooooo ready and so excited. i am going to miss my friends here but i know that we will be better off being closer to family. i miss them so much!

We bought a house!!!!!!!

we are moving back home very soon! i am getting excited. sad to leave my friends here... and i love this area......... but now Elijah can grow up with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!!! and my old friends will see my little boy grow up with their little ones!!! :) so exciting. i am doing well with it all. i dont like big change but i am getting used to this and i am busy planning! lots of lists going on... ha yes michelle i have lots of lists! BUT i am not being THAT organized quite yet. i am trying my best but I have so much to do!

anyways... i will post pics later on when i get some. :0)

First tooth

So the doctor saw that Elijah's bottom gums were kinda swollen and said it could be a month before we see anything, this was Friday. Sunday i was looking at his gums and saw that a tooth was starting to come through and then Monday i felt a sharp tooth! that was fast and he is only 5 1/2 months old... the hard thing is that now he is not sleeping good at night and is screaming a lot more. i know it hurts his poor mouth but he is doing better than i expected. i will just have to take a nap every day after having a bad night. last night he was up from 12:45 to 2:45 and then i cant remember what other times he was awake but that was not the only time. *sigh* i will get him to sleep through the night one day i guess. 

My baby

We took Elijah in for his four month shots yesterday and he did so well. he is actually 5 1/2 months so we are little behind but i actually prefer that. Poor little guy broke my heart though. When the doctor was checking him out Elijah looked over at me with so much fear on his face as if to say "mommy why are you letting this strange man touch me??" oh gosh. it made me so sad. he even looked over at Dennis at one point with a scared look like "come on dad, come get me"... He definately knows who should be playing with him or touching him... he has never ever looked at us with fear on his face no matter what we do. when i cut his finger nails, or clean his ears, or look in his mouth for teeth he just whines and pushes me away, but never has fear on his face. my poor baby, and he hates being held down to get shots... oh gosh he was so mad, but he stopped crying so much faster than last time. he is doing so well but his thighs are a little sore. this morning i tried to gently massage his thighs and he started crying, last time they didnt hurt him at all. :( 

it's so hard to be a mommy and watch your child go through this... :(

anyways. on a better note he is doing great. the doctor said that he is a healthy, smart, good lookin kid! AND we got to show him off to the doctor and nurse. he was sitting up all by himself on the table!!! course he wobbles back and forth and i have to catch him if he tries to go for something.  the doctor said that usually they are 6 to 7 months before they do that much! we are so proud! i will get pictures up very soon---he is such a big boy!

He has gotten to be so much happier and so energetic lately. when i come into the room he gets so excited and when i pick him up he jumps and makes a high pitched sound. so funny! he is such a joy to be around...

Happy Father's Day sweetie! Can  you believe that this time last year i was writing a letter to you talking about how you would finally be a daddy the next year??? now here it is! you are doing an amazing job. Elijah adores you and has so much fun with you. You are so great with him and I couldnt ask for a better man to help raise our son! He looks like you, and i think he will have your humor too. I am so excited that God has blessed us with such a wonderful child. I know that having a son means the world to you cuz of all the "guy" stuff you will get to show him! I am going to have so much fun watching him with you as he grows up. You are going to do such a great job as a dad and Elijah is truly blessed to have you as a daddy. I love you sweetie. Thank you for all that you do for us. I couldnt ask for more! *muah*

a painful week

one bit of advice, if you THINK you are seriously ill or will be if you dont get taken care of please go to the doctor! 

this has been the longest week of my life. all i have to say is that i have been close to being on my death bed and that is no exaggeration at all. in fact i would do my c-section and recovery all over again in place of what i went through this week. i could not play with my baby and could not do much of anything. last tuesday i thought i might be getting a UTI but was not sure cuz i had never had one. well sunday night i woke up with the worst pain and fever ever... so i took advil and it finally broke. monday i was a little better but my right side, back and head were hurting like you wouldnt believe. i was going to go to the emergency center but didnt want to with Elijah. they take forever... so i made a dr. app. for tuesday morning... well let's just say monday night was 100 times worse than sunday night. i dragged myself up for my app. and it was pure torture waiting for them to finally see me. well it was a UTI gone way bad... my whole body hurt, my eyeballs and my toes... everything... laying down didnt help but that's all i wanted to do. the dr felt so bad so she prescribed me an antibiotic and hydrocodone. wellllll.... as soon as i took that on tuesday afternoon i felt so much better... hours later not so much. i kept taking the medicine as much as i could. i was able to eat lunch but i couldnt eat dinner. my appetite was completely gone. i was awake most the night and wednesday morning i threw up in the shower.... i then tried to eat something light and drink water and threw that up. then i tried again and threw that up... my head was going to explode... i thought i was dying. so dennis got me some crackers and popsicles and i was able to keep that down and some medicine. then that evening i had my friend come over since dennis was working to help me with elijah. he was so bored and i could not get off the couch. she played with him and got him ready for bed. while she was doing that i tried eating soup. ha after the first two bites i ran to the bathroom only to throw up EVERYWHERE... including on myself. it was awful. i was soooo upset cuz i knew i had to clean it up all alone. but my headache calmed down... weird i know... so i cleaned it up and cleaned myself up. then i fed the baby and my friend left. i put him to bed and i decided to just take the antibiotic with some water and then i went to bed and right away my fever broke. i have had so many fevers since sunday night. it sucks!!!!! 

anyways. so i got up in the middle of the night and ate a cracker and took two advil. i think i am just allergic to the hydrocodone. i still woke up a lot last night but my headache was so much better and i could actually keep my eyes open without being in severe pain. this morning i was able to eat a little cereal and a popsicle and take my antibiotic again....i am weak and hungry and have a small headache still but i am much better thank the good Lord. on monday night all i could think about was how i thought i was going to die and leave my baby without a mommy... seriously i thought that... and then yesterday i cried out to Jesus and i rebuked satan asking for Him to help me keep medicine down... Jesus did it!!!! of course i threw up later but i had a break from the pain for a couple hours... He knew i needed it...

i have to say my baby has been an angel for the most part. when i came home from the doctor on tuesday i was hurting so bad that i laid in bed crying and he laid beside me sucking his thumb holding my hand... he was so sweet... he did so great for me but yesterday was harder on him. he was tired of playing by himself. i am so thankful i am getting better. i cant believe it is already thursday. my week has flown by (not really but the days have blended together for sure). thanks to my husband for taking such good care of me and my friend for helping me out and my mom for some good advice... and Jesus' mercy of course!!!! i am on my way to being healthy again! 

so ya please no matter what take care of yourselves!!! me as a mom all i care about is my baby and that he is healthy but what good am i to him if i am sick???? gosh i learned this lesson the hard way. 

Happy 5 Months Little Man!

If you look close i cut his hair! it's shorter and looks so much better. made me sad to cut off his newborn hair but now he is all blonde!

oh my goodness! i cant believe you are 5 months old already. You have grown up so fast and yet you are still my little baby!

Elijah sweetie you are such an angel. you have started doing so much more lately. you love to roll around on your back on the floor and play with your feet. it's amazing how far you can go on just your back!!! you love to laugh and smile and that makes us so happy! 

you are reaching and grabbing things so much better now and when i pick you up you like to put your arms around my neck and grab my hair and bury your face in my neck. i like to think you are giving me a hug!!! you have a new laugh that you do that sounds so funny and you have also learned how to scream even louder than you used to. it is a high pitched loud scream that hurts mommy and daddy's ears!!!! you still dont sleep through the night but you know when it's bedtime. as soon as you have had your bath at night you are ready for me to feed you and you go right to sleep. for naps you love sleeping on mommy's soft blanket and you can put yourself to sleep by rubbing the blanket and sucking your thumb. when you wake up from your naps you like to cuddle and you are so happy to see me come get you. lately i can sit and rock you and you just lay in my lap sucking your thumb, watching everything that i do. you dont like riding in the car for long trips and it makes mommy sad to hear you cry. you are definately showing your little personality more and more. i think you are going to be a happy, funny and sweet child so we will see wont we??? i love you so much and i cant wait to see how much more fun you will be this next month. happy 5 months little angel. Mommy and Daddy love you so much! xoxoxox *muah*

House time

So.... we are looking into getting a house. i am very excited and yet very stressed at the same time. pray for us that we find the right house in the right area, it's a big decision and we have worked very hard for this. 

i am so ready to get out of this apartment!!! but God is good and i know He will direct us and give us our heart's desires.

you are such a big boy now!!! gosh i cant believe how much you have grown in the past month and how much smarter you are. you are still my cuddly baby but you are doing so much more now. you love to lay on your tummy and play with toys, and when you feel like it you love to scoot closer to your toys. you are rolling from your tummy to your back all the time. you love to talk to us and make yourself known no matter what time of day. you love your doggy and when it's nap time i just give it to you and you suck your thumb and fall asleep. you are laughing a whole lot more and just think mommy and daddy are the funniest people ever! you are always watching what everyone is doing and most the time you want me in sight at all times. mornings are still your favorite and you are sooooo happy and excited when it's time to get up. nights are still kinda rough for us but you are doing better, and you can put yourself to sleep at night too. mommy is so proud of you!!!! the other day you found your feet for the first time!!! you were taking a bath and i looked up for a second and back down at you and there you were holding your toes, it was soooo adorable!!! i have taught you how to "high five" us!!!! and you think it's the funniest thing ever. daddy was so proud to see that you were doing that already!!! our baby is a genius! you are such a ham and love to smile at everyone just as long as they dont take you away from me! LOL... i know you will get better with that but for now it makes mommy's heart melt that you love me so much. you love playing with daddy and talking to him. i know you cant wait till you can wrestle with him!!!! i will definately have to put all the breakables in a safe place with my two guys goofing off!
